The critical side of this lifestyle […]

My favorite berry smoothie!

by Angie
Oh, the smell of the forest from my childhood is still so fresh in my memory. The mushroom picking and berry picking were my favorite summer activities. I miss it so much… As kids, we used to wait for school to end so the summer food extravaganza can start! We used to go and play in the forest, full of abundance, new fruits, new smells, and animals. Both fed my soul as well as my belly! Running around and playing in the forest and eating were my favorite things to do as a child. Coming back for berry picking, […]

Taste of Summer Festive’s

by Angie
Who likes to cook in the summer? I don’t blame you if you don’t! Who wants to cook when it’s 100° outside? I don’t like to do it even though I’m a chef but a bit of planning goes a long way, and the family can be well fed during the summer (with a minimum of effort). My favorite food to make during the summer is chilled or raw (uncooked) soups, salads, veggie noodles, no – mayo coleslaws, grilled veggies, and smoothies. For most of those dishes, there is no stove required, which makes things easier!   Salads— an […]

This word “metabolism” is thrown around a lot these days.   You know that if yours is too slow you might gain weight. Oh! Tacos!

by Angie
Oh, how I can be obsessed with tacos if they are good. I just love them! Last time when I went to Mexico I was eating them 5 days in a row until I got satisfied. What I have done here is super delicious lime spiced shrimp, chipotle coleslaw, pico de gallo and guacamole mix. They are wrapped in a home-made corn tortilla and dressed in a wedge of lime. Tacos are just a simple food but so delicious and satisfying. They are easy to make, you can use whatever food you want and make your favorite version. […]
