Grilled Shrimp & Veggies

My clients have been asking me for simple recipes so that they don’t have to spend so much time in the kitchen. Most people have often be stuck in the traditional foods, which from the several researches conducted, do not have so much nutritive value. It only takes a little creativity for one to greatly upgrade his or her diet.  Moreover, people must realize that the most nutritious foods do not necessarily have to be the most expensive. All that is needed is the proper mastery of the dietary content of the simple foods around, and consequently coming up with the right combination.

Today I will show you  some of the simple recipes.  The steps are simple enough to mastered by any average mind.

Contrary to the popular myths, cooking does not have to be a complicated experience. In fact, the most nutritious meals could be the simplest to prepare.

 

Grilled Shrimp & Veggies On A Stick

 

Makes 2 Servings

 

Ingredients

3/4 lb of shrimp, peeled and defined

1 liter of lime juice

2 tablespoons of  minced garlic

Freshly ground black pepper

1 medium size zucchini, sliced into 1″ pieces

2 cups of button mushrooms

1 red bell pepper, sliced into 2 pieces

1 green bell pepper, sliced into 2 pieces

1 red onion, cut into eighths

4 cloves of garlic, minced

3 tablespoons of  olive oil

Wooden skewers (soaked in cold water for 15 minutes to prevent burning)

 

Directions

  1. Soak the wooden skewers (for at least 15 minutes).
  2. Peel shrimp and put in a medium size  bowl and toss with minced garlic. Add lime juice and season with pepper. Set aside for five minutes.
  3. Wash and chop vegetables.
  4. Prepare the grill.
  5. Add vegetables and garlic to the shrimp. Lastly, add olive oil. Toss.Stack veggies and shrimp onto skewers and grill until fully cooked.
