Avocado Pudding That Can Balance Hormones

This simple dessert recipe is one of my favorites! It contains my two favorite foods in the world in one dish- chocolate and avocado. It is creamy and decadent.

This recipe is all about being decadent, delicious, and at the same time super good for you!

There’s nothing in it that’s bad for you. It will nourish your body and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Avocado has a mild flavor and creamy texture making this fruit very versatile to use as well as providing us with many beneficial qualities.

Avocado is good for our hormones because it contains plant sterol, which acts like human hormones. Beta-sitosterol is anti-estrogenic, and it helps increase testosterone levels in men and progesterone levels in women. Too much estrogen in men can suppress testosterone, making matters worse.

Avocados are a nutrition bomb, and they are rich in:

• Fiber
• Antioxidants
• Omega 3 Fatty Acids
• Potassium (more than twice the amount found in a banana)
• Vitamin E
• B-vitamins
• Folic acid
• Calcium
• Magnesium
• Sodium
• Iron
• Boron

Fiber is vital for our hormones health. High fiber diet may help lower estrogen and testosterone because excess cholesterol-based hormones like estrogen and testosterone are secreted along with the bile produced by the liver, which can then be bound to soluble fiber in the gut and excreted in the stool. Fiber also helps us balance blood sugar and keep a healthy weight.

Fiber plays a huge role in reducing cortisol levels, which helps keep hormones balanced. Blood sugar in control can prevent weight gain and high cortisol levels lead to excess weight gain which leads to estrogen dominance.

Now let’s get to the chocolate!

Raw cocoa is great for our health. I’m not talking here about regular chocolate you can buy in the store full of sugar, which contributes to obesity and disease.

Cocoa is full of antioxidants, helps lower blood pressure and promotes cardiovascular health. Cocoa helps reduce stress and suppress appetite, therefore, it helps with hormonal balance.

Cocoa is rich in magnesium, which is vital for bone health, blood sugar regulation as well as it has calming properties and it helps reduce anxiety.

Cocoa is fantastic for your brain because it has mood-enhancing effects and it affects opiate receptors, releases hormones that evoke a feeling of joy. Cocoa helps increase the production of dopamine, which leads to feelings of contentment. Anandamide, a neurotransmitter in chocolate, can help people feel happier.

I added some cinnamon which is excellent for blood sugar balance and prevents cravings.

Now the recipe!
